The journey / What will you be doing at CleverAdam.com?
You will report directly to the CEO and CPO and will be offered various legal tasks within e.g.:
- Financial law, regulations and compliance (Denmark and EU)
- Communication with relevant government authorities
- Corporate law
- GDPR, SOC2 and general compliance matters
- Legal project management
- Drawing up relevant legal content for website/blog/SoMe
- Ad hoc daily operations
Obviously this is A LOT to take in, but we’re not just looking for some random law student. We’re looking for skillful law students with a lot of ambition, interest in the startup world, fairly tech-savvy, and – most importantly – shares our core values that “done is better than perfect” and that “good things are rarely easy but always worth it“. (for more golden nuggets see our manifesto: https://www.cleveradam.com/about/manifesto)
With skills, creativity and an open-minded approach, we hope that you can assist us in the process of building a successful fintech SaaS company. Therefore the tasks can/will most likely change over time.
For us it is important that you have drive, are easy-going, ambitious, efficient and are able to communicate in an easy-to-understand language. And finally, you must have a strong interest in and flair for diving deep and head first into financial law with a startup mindset.
We expect the job will be around 10-20 hours/week. You will be paid by the hour.
Depending on your skills and your own ambition this role can be transformed into something more than just a part time gig. How does “Chief Legal Officer” sound, eh? Getting that C-level position also includes equity. But more on that later on.
We’re a remote first company, so for us it is not important where you work. Home, bedroom, office or café – We don’t care. As long as you’re transparent, communicative and gets sh*t done. We have a very active Slack channel and throws google hangouts/meets all over the place, so even though we’re not sitting together you will not be feeling alone.
As the CEO is an experienced business leader, and the CPO has previously worked as a qualified lawyer, you will be challenged on and trained in your abilities to convey complex legal matter in a short and executable fashion. As a reward you will gain valuable insights into how to build and scale a successful fintech SaaS and learn a lot along the way.
So, are you up for the challenge?
